FAR AI is hosting an open social for ICML attendees interested in AI alignment.

The open social is designed to support the community of researchers interested in AI alignment issues by providing a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere for discussions and debates.

We welcome anyone already registered for ICML at this event, regardless of their familiarity with the AI alignment literature. There's no registration fee or application form; our team will just check that you’re registered for ICML when you arrive. Please feel free to forward this page to anyone you think might be interested in attending!

* RSVPing is optional, but please note that we can only guarantee admittance to those who have RSVPd in advance if we approach maximum capacity at the venue. If you are attending the Alignment Workshop, there is no need to RSVP.

This social will take place immediately after the Vienna Alignment Workshop: Top AI alignment researchers from industry and academia will convene for a third Alignment Workshop in Vienna, just before ICML 2024. The invite-only workshop will facilitate discussion and debate amongst ML researchers on topics related to AI alignment to better understand potential risks from AGI and strategies for solving them.
